Monks

The website of the Perl Monks contains vast amounts of information, and its pages are more or less neatly arranged in groups and categorised questions and answers.

The Perl Monks website can be compared with a monastery where the members (the monks) are looking for truth and wisdom.

The monks, in theory solemny working within the monastary walls, seldomly meeting eachother in person, are in some ways the opposite of the Perl Mongers.

Perl Monks has a chatterbox, so you can chat with the other "monks". Not the same as meeting a Perl programmer in real life, but also less confronting and time consuming.

The many Tutorials are a good place to start your quest for wisdom, as is How (not) to ask a question.
